Next Level Prospect Camp

This camp is for the serious softball player, especially those desiring to play at the ‘next level’.

Instruction include the following: hitting fundamentals and strategies, advanced defensive fundamentals and specific position breakdowns, scrimmage/game play and strategies. There will be a break for lunch, please provide your own meal/snacks.

Limit of 66 campers.

Tina KramosTina Kramos, Head Softball Coach

Tina Kramos enters her fourth season as head coach, 25th season overall, at Illinois State after a successful softball career, both as a player and coach.  On the playing side, Kramos competed in the XXVII Olympic Games in 2004 as a member of the Greek Olympic softball team and was a two-time All-MVC First-Team selection at Missouri State University.  Kramos began her coaching career at Colorado-Colorado Springs, before moving to Nicholls State.  She spent 22 years as and assistant coach and then associate head coach at Illinois State where she now leads the Redbirds as head  coach.

Brandon DuncanBrandon Duncan, Assistant Coach

Brandon Duncan enters his first season as an assistant coach at Illinois State.  His primary responsibility will be to work with the Redbird pitchers and catchers.   Duncan has over 14 years of coaching experience with stints at Miami (Ohio), Rutgers as an assistant coach after working with Coach Butler on the 2018 MAC Coaching Staff of the Year at Toledo.

Also making stops at Charleston Southern Toledo, Virginia and Georgia Tech.  In 2003 he was an assistant coach for the USSSA Pride Professional Softball Team.  The Abbeville, SC native was the head coach at Lander University for the 2007-11 seasons. In his four seasons as head coach.  Duncan graduated from Alabama in 2004 with a bachelor's degree in history and also worked as a student manager for the Crimson Tide softball program. 

Alexis RuddAlexis Rudd, Graduate Assistant Coach

Alexis joins the Redbird Softball staff as our newest member after graduating from Southern Illinois University in the Spring of 2025.  Rudd was a member of three MVC Championship teams while playing at SIU.  A Greenwood, Indiana native, Rudd earned ICGSA Class 3A/4A All-State Second Team honors and helped Center Grove win the school's first state title since 2015.  In the summer, Rudd played travel ball for Indiana Magic Gold.

 

 

Camps and clinics are open to any and all entrants, in accordance with the NCAA camps and clinics legislation (limited only by number, age, grade level and/or gender).
